2012 HYB Weekend Rally

The next HYB Weekend Rally will be held on the 13th - 15th April 2012 hosted by the South Eastern Club at Plumpton College, East Sussex.

    Congratulations to the winner of the 2011 HYB President’s Medal, Owain Harries from South Wales. Holstein UK president Jimmy Hull presented Owain with the award at the British Cattle Conference at Telford this week at a dinner attending by over 200 people. Also pictured is Stuart Maclennan of national HYB sponsors Genus ABS.

    Three President’s Medal finalists were invited to attend the Conference, the other two being Rachel Richardson of Yorkshire and Shropshire’s Andy Smith.

Investing in todays Young Breeders for tomorrows breed

Holstein Young Breeders is one of the most forward thinking young peoples’ organisation in British agriculture. The movement now boasts over 2,000 members between the ages of 4 and 26 in regional clubs throughout the UK.

Our young people are the future of British agriculture and they hold the key to the success of farming in the 21st century. Holstein Young Breeders gives them the platform and encouragement to develop much needed skills in farming practice, with emphasis on Holstein breeding. Inter personal skills flourish through the teamwork needed at National events such as the annual Weekend Rally and the All-Britain All- Breeds Calf Show.
