All of the breeds are evaluated separately. Direct comparison of bull PTAs of different breeds is therefore NOT possible.

For example; The British Friesian breed is no longer included in the Holstein evaluations and now operates a separate base on all traits. Friesian bulls can therefore no longer be compared to Holstein evaluated bulls. Similarly, Jersey Island bulls are evaluated on a different genetic base to Jersey mainland bulls and can also not be compared directly.
